At Mercato, we believe every visit should be comfortable, inclusive, and stress-free. In partnership with the Dubai Autism Center, we have thoughtfully designed permanent features to support individuals on the autismspectrum.
What Makes Mercato Autism-Friendly?
- Sensory-Friendly Shopping Hours
From 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, in-store music and noise levels are reduced to create a calm and inviting atmosphere for neurodiverse children and their families. - Staff Training
Our team receives specialized training to assist individuals with autism and ensure a smooth, supportive experience. - Clear Signage & Navigation
Signage highlights quiet zones, high-sensory areas, and key safety reminders, helping families navigate the mall safely and effortlessly. - Quiet Zones & Sensory Support
Relaxing spaces are available throughout the mall. Fidget toys and sensory kits can be requested at Customer Service to support comfort, focus, and self-regulation.
Selected In-Mall Experiences & Offers
- Funcity – Complimentary Play Zone access for children with autism upon presenting ID (with caregiver supervision)
- Airmaniax – Exclusive rate of AED 40 per child, including complimentary access for one Learning Support Assistant
- Playville – Special weekday morning rate of AED 50 + VAT per hour (Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM), with assisted Drop & Go service available during these hours
