The United Arab Emirates (U.A.E) was formed on the 2nd December, 1971 and consists of seven Emirates: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Fujairah, and Ras Al Khaimah.
Dubai, being the most popular Emirate, is located along the southern coast of the Persian Gulf on the Arabian Peninsula. Its population reaches almost 2 million people made up from a number of different nationalities from all over the world.
The development of Dubai first began with its fishing, pearling and sea trade industry. It continued to grow in the mid 20th century from revenues generated from oil, and is now best known for being a quality tourism destination and one of the richest countries in the world. Breathtaking architecture, amazing hotels, world class entertainment, international sporting events, and the best shopping in the world makes Dubai a great place to visit.
