1 Day in Jumeirah
Go shopping, get cultured, and catch a glimpse of Dubai’s favourite places.
Jumeirah is the home to many art and cultural centers. Our favorite galleries are the Miraj Islamic Art Gallery and the Dubai International Art Centre (DIAC). If you are interested to learn more about the Muslim culture, you must take part in the 1 hour Jumeirah Mosque Tour just up the road from Mercato. There are approximately 560 mosques in Dubai, the largest and most beautiful being the Jumeirah Mosque. Non-Muslims are able to visit the mosque through the Sheikh Mohammed Centre of Cultural Understanding “Open Doors. Open Minds” program held every Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 10am.
Experience the more adventurous side of Jumeirah and visit all of the amazing sites just a stone’s throw from the mall. From the mall you can clearly see the world’s tallest building – the Burj Dubai. Stop at the U.A.E flag at Union Square - the largest flag in the world. Take the children to the Dubai Zoo and then relax by the sea at the Jumeirah Beach Park. Further down the road, admire the iconic 7 star Burj Al Arab hotel. If you feel like being young again, make your way to the Wild Wadi water park.
And if you feel like more shopping, then just a few steps away from Mercato, you will find Town Centre Jumeirah, the mall “Just For You.” This mall offers a stress-free shopping environment that is bright, open and tranquil with its palm trees and calming fountains. It is the perfect place to visit if you are perhaps hunting for an exclusive gift or for beauty and skin care products. Treat yourself to one of Town Centre Jumeirah’s extensive range of ladies beauty outlets and services that will have you feeling refreshed at the end of the day. At the same time enjoy a leisurely coffee or a meal at one of Jumeirah’s most pleasant, casual dining venues with a range of menus that attract a wide selection of diners.
However you plan to spend your day in Jumeirah, enjoy!
